Tuition & Fees


The following tuition and fee rates are effective June 1, 2010. AST reserves the right to alter rates at any time.
Tuition. AST tuition rates are based on course type. Since Lower Division students typically qualify for less financial aid, the School has structured its rates in a way that minimizes costs for such students. Through our “Gateway” program, students may earn the 60-unit Associate of Arts for only $250 per unit.

 

Students who proceed to the Upper Division to earn a bachelor’s degree pay higher tuition rates for the remaining 60 units. However, such students have achieved “junior” status, which enables them to qualify for higher levels of financial aid. Through this two-tiered system, AST strives to make a regionally accredited private Christian university education affordable for everyone.

* Please note that, whenever possible, SGPS will apply transfer units to the Lower Division rather than the Upper Division.
** This category includes all courses required for the Business Administration, Christian Ministry, Human Development, and Intercultural Studies Majors in the Bachelor of Science degree. Students who take courses from other Majors to fulfil General Elective or General Education Core requirements also pay this rate.
***  Students who have graduated with a master’s degree from Hope International University may audit graduate courses in their respective fields without charge for tuition.
